Java, surrounded by rice paddy fields and views of Mt. Merapi and Prambanan
Temple. Private facilities for the Artists Residency Program include
a 110 sq. meter communal indoor studio space, 70 sq. meter outdoor sculpture
studio, several small private studios, a printing press, a kiln and
video editing facilities. Situated among extensive gardens, the facilities
also include a guest house with bedrooms for visiting artists, two bathrooms,
a fully-equipped kitchen and a second-story Joglo (traditional Javanese
open pavilion) used for social gatherings, performances and dining.
On-site staff provides full housekeeping assistance and meals based
on traditional Indonesian cuisine. An off-site home with 3 bedrooms,
a studio, kitchen and gardens which is 5 minutes from Antena Projects
is available on a limited basis to foreign artists and their families.
